Art of the Craft with Lecrae: Recap

Andrew Barber

The Art of the Craft with Lecrae [took place on July 17 at Soho House Chicago]  was one of the most successful events to date since being a member of the Chicago Chapter. The crowd was highly engaged and excited to be in such an intimate setting with him. I had countless attendees come up to me afterwards thanking me for the enlightening conversation, which focused on artistry as well as the business side of the hip-hop industry. Lecrae shared a lot of insight on what it takes to make it as an independent artist, as well as navigating the major label world. He also sang the praises of MusiCares which is something everyone needs to hear. Lecrae just 'gets it' and that's why he's had such a successful career.

Recap shared by Andrew Barber, owner and creator of Fake Shore Drive. Andrew also served as the moderator for the Lecrae interview.
