Thalia Hall was filled with Midwest pride as The Recording Academy Chicago Chapter gathered to celebrate Music’s Biggest Night at Chicago's 58th GRAMMYs Telecast Viewing Party. The evening began with a performance from one of Chicago’s brightest, Sir the Baptist. The room reveled in the sounds of Urban Hymns as Sir brought together the best of jazz, blues, and R&B to kick start a night full of unforgettable music moments. Strings of lights emulated pops of GRAMMY gold around the room that brought together the classic elements of this year’s artwork.

Guests enjoyed GRAMMY inspired cocktails and refreshments courtesy of Ole Smoky Moonshine and Lagunitas and snacked on Orville Redenbacher's buttery popcorn throughout the night as they enjoyed the live viewing of the 58th GRAMMY awards. The Chicago Chapter took a heartfelt moment in the evening to remember Larry Sturm who has served on the chapter Board as a Governor, President, and P&E Wing Chair for many years. The loss was felt throughout the Chicago music community and industry as a whole. Between iconic duets and moving tributes, guests had the opportunity to capture their own red carpet moments in the photo booth. From Best Rap Album through Album of the Year, guests cheered on big wins and even bigger performances that made music history.

Host Anita Wilson led guests through the evening and during commercial breaks, gave out prizes including tickets to Chicago staple, The Second City, while a few lucky attendees went home with official 58th GRAMMY swag. The host kept the evening alive until the final award was given and the final song was performed. A heartfelt thank you was shared with the entire room from Anita Wilson as The Recording Academy Chicago Chapter closed out another successful year of witnessing and celebrating greatness in music.
