Meet the Board: Evan Weiss

Chicago Chapter's picture

Chicago Chapter

Into It. Over It. is the solo project of Chicago based musician Evan Weiss, who recently released his third full length album under the pseudonym entitled Standards. Produced by John Vanderslice, Standards has been called so thoroughly Chicago that – in the way most great Chicago records do – it exposes a breach in genre classification. Weiss has been a notably active figure in the underground punk and emo scene as far back as 2001 and played in numerous bands from Chicago as well as his hometown of Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He currently fronts Their/They’re/There alongside Mike Kinsella of Owen and Matthew Frank of Loose Lips Sink Ships, and Pet Symmetry with Erik Czaja and Marcus Nuccio of fellow emo band Dowsing.
