Kem is a two-time GRAMMY® nominee R&B singer/songwriter driven by music and the emotions involved in bringing it to life. Today, the internationally renowned R&B singer/songwriter has to his credit three Gold albums with Motown (KEMISTRY; KEM: ALBUM II; INTIMACY); two GRAMMY nominations; and three #1 hit singles.  In 2012, he founded Mack & Third, Inc., a Michigan domestic non-profit organization whose mission is built on the premise that no basic human need should go unmet due to lack of funding. KEM is an active board member of the Chicago chapter of NARAS; his fourth studio album, Promise to Love, was released August 25, 2014 

What is your favorite thing about the Chicago music scene?

My favorite thing about the Chicago music scene is the diversity and engagement of the music community.

What is your favorite GRAMMY moment?

Meeting Paul Williams on the red carpet in 2014.

Why did you choose your profession?

I didn't choose this profession. It chose me. LOL
