Chicago Chapter

Zak Jablow is the Advanced Production and Music Business Teacher at SAE Chicago. As a teacher, Zak Fox Jablow delivered “life changing” lectures on the inner workings of the music business. Just last year, he delivered a TedTalk on the connection people have with music. Fox now sits as Governor for the Chicago Chapter of NARAS (the GRAMMYs.)  As a record producer, he brought songs to life for ground-breaking acts Chance The Rapper,  Avriel Epps, Sidewalk Chalk, Eryn Allen Kane, Vic Mensa, Curren$y, Mac Miller and Ab Soul and countless other major and independent artists.  Fox also has managed, consulted and toured with the likes of Ellen Degeneres, Kanye West, and even went to Afghanistan with the USO and Gary Sinise featuring the Lt. Dan Band.

What was your first live music experience?

When I was 13, my father surprised me with a trip to Anaheim, CA to see KoRn on the family Values tour.

The quote I live my life by is…

There's no such thing as luck.

Why did you choose your profession?

I don't want anyone to be treated the way I have been treated in this business. I seek to arm the next generation of artists and industry personnel with the knowledge I've gained from every mistake I've made.

What are your 2 favorite albums?

My two favorite albums are "O" by Damien rice and

"Made In Heights" by Made in heights.
