Miami-based alternative rock group Magazine Society was named the winner of the 2015 Florida GRAMMY Showcase® on April 17 at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. R&B artist Alex was declared the runner-up and singer/songwriter Dustin Seymour was named second runner-up. Presented by The Recording Academy® Florida Chapter for 11 consecutive years, this was the seventh Florida GRAMMY Showcase to take place during the Florida Music Festival and Conference. The judges for the event included members of The Recording Academy's Florida Chapter Board, which comprises of creative, technical and business professionals from the music industry, along with some additional experts from various musical fields. Each of the six finalists, who also included Brie, Casey Conroy and Matt Shenk, shared an artist development prize package worth approximately $25,000.
