On September 25, 2015, The Recording Academy® Florida Chapter presented GRAMMY Pro® futureNOW, a GRAMMY professional development event featuring influential tastemakers and industry thought-leaders. It was hosted at the prestigious New World Center in Miami Beach, which was designed by Frank Gehry and is home to the New World Symphony.

GRAMMY Pro® futureNOW began with “The Art of Wellness: Five Keys to a Musician’s Longevity,” moderated by CAA Music Agent, Bruno Del Granado. Director of MusiCares, East Region, Jennifer Leff, and GRAMMY®- winning artist Jon Secada gave their insight into techniques they’ve developed through their personal career experience. Presenters focused on the multiple aspects in which affect the well-being of a musician or industry professional, including finances, mental and physical health, and continuing to develop within their profession.

The day concluded with an in-depth conversation featuring GRAMMY/ Latin GRAMMY- winning Mastering Engineer, Bob Ludwig (Beyoncé, Coldplay, Daft Punk, Radiohead). Ludwig gave an extensive presentation, sharing a glimpse into his studio and preferred gear ranging from vintage analog equipment to the latest technology. Following that, GRAMMY / Latin GRAMMY – winning engineer Carlos Alvarez (Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, Alejandro Sanz) hosted a discussion that provided an intimate view into Bob Ludwig’s career, spanning over 50 years of innovation.
