EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND ADDICTION RECOVERY PROGRAM UPDATE
MusiCares main programs offer emergency financial assistance to music people during times of need. We are pleased to announce that we hit another landmark year this year via providing direct financial assistance to close to 4500 people nationwide and distributing $4.4 million in aid. To date, MusiCares has never hit the $4 million dollar mark (with the exception of our hurricane relief efforts in 2005) nor have we surpassed 4000 clients served. Please continue to remember MusiCares when you hear of someone who may need our assistance. Our assistance is confidential and eligibility is extended to any music person who can document five years employment in the music industry and/or credited contribution to six commercially released recordings or videos.
