On September 30, GRAMMY U students had the opportunity to attend our 2014 Kick Off event at Middle Tennessee State University featuring world renowned singer-songwriters,The Jackie Boyz. The event included a 30 minute mixer with free pizza and drinks followed by an intimate Q&A session with the two brothers. The students evoked incredible responses from Steven and Carlos Battey (The Jackie Boyz) as the two talked about their career. Everyone was intrigued by the duo especially when they were dropping names like Madonna, Sean Kingston, Justin Beiber, Flo Rida and many more popular groups they have worked with. Overall, the event was a big success with the brothers giving great advice about never giving up on your dream.
