Philadelphia - GRAMMY U SoundChecks With Good Charlotte

The anticipation for the GRAMMY U SoundChecks with Good Charlotte was high. The students shared their excitement about having the opportunity to chat with a band that has showcased such longevity in an industry where you can be here today and gone tomorrow. The return from a 5-year hiatus, the demand to interact with the band was showcased by their extremely tight schedule. So Although, we were unable to catch the sound check portion, students had the opportunity to engage in a very insightful high level conversation with the band.

“I remember first being introduced to you through the show iCarly.” Active GU member Andrew Moorer started to lead into their question easily showcasing the span of the fans of Good Charlotte. They talked about the importance of a placement like that, which introduced them to a whole new fan base.

During the intimate Q&A session, the band covered all aspects of the their history, including the long break in their career. The band explained that during this time, they put their full focus on their families, relationships and personal lives. There was discussion of their favorite albums and why, their current tour and taking the power back in their music by going returning as independent artists.
