San Francisco - GRAMMY U SoundChecks With Gallant

On Friday, October 21, 2016, San Francisco members of GRAMMY U attended Gallant’s sound check at the Great American Music Hall. Gallant, who is a former GRAMMY U member, released his first LP Ology in April of this year and is currently on tour.
Members were invited to watch Gallant and his band perform over six songs from the show’s set list. Gallant greeted the members as they entered and thanked them for their applause after each song.
After the sound check concluded, Gallant and his band sat down with members for a 20-minute Q&A session where Gallant shared that he was a part of GRAMMY U while attending NYU. When asked about how he got discovered, Gallant suggested that anyone trying to get discovered “shouldn’t focus on trying to get discovered” and should just focus on the art and let everything else come together.
After posing for a few group photos, Gallant and his tour manager, Front of House manager, and artist manager shook hands with members and spoke to some individually before heading back to prepare for his show. Gallant, his band, and his team were all excited and more than willing to share their advice with the San Francisco GRAMMY U members.
Gallant is currently touring in The U.S., Canada, Europe, Korea and Australia. For more information about Gallant and upcoming shows, check out his website http://www.gallant.space/
