GRAMMY U Presents: Roc Nation MasterClass with Shea Taylor & Elijah Blake

GRAMMY U members from Los Angeles  the opportunity to attend in an intimate Roc Nation MasterClass studio session at Red Bull Studios with Shea Taylor and Elijah Blake. They spoke about producing, songwriting, breaking into the music business and the importance of staying relevant.

Robert “Shea” Taylor began his career at an early age and used  the recording studio as his playground. He has worked with notable acts such as Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Solange, Rhianna and Beyoncé. Elijah Blake, the singer-songwriter has written hits for big names such as Mary J. Blige, Usher, Rhianna and Rick Ross.

After giving the students an overview of their careers and artistic creativity, Taylor and Blake were happy to answer questions from the audience.  GRAMMY U members asked about building and maintaining relationships in the industry, music placements and how to get demos heard.
