GRAMMY U SoundChecks And Backstage Production Tour With Linkin Park

On September 11, 2014, members of GRAMMY U Los Angeles had the opportunity to attend a backstage production tour of Linkin Park’s Carnivores show at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre.  The students had the opportunity to meet with several members of Linkin Park’s team including their tour manager, publicist, radio manager, fan club coordinator, DJ and more.

During the tour, members received an in-depth look into how to produce a stadium concert. The two-hour tour included interviews with various engineers, a look into the dressing room area and staging area where guitars are stored during the show. Right before Linkin Park hit the stage students participated in a Meet and Greet with several band members including Mike Shinoda, who spent a considerable amount of time sharing his musical experiences with the students.  To top it all off, the GRAMMY U members had the opportunity to watch the show from the sidestage, stand in the media pit to take photos during the first few songs and observe engineers working in the sound booth.
