Steeped in the vibes of 42 years of rock history at legendary venue The Roxy Theatre, the sold out 2nd annual Los Angeles Chapter GRAMMY Showcase was the “it” place to be on June 16.

The nearly capacity, VIP crowd was treated to a simple but emotionally powerful set by R&B singer/songwriter Timothy Bloom, followed by a rousing set by Americana band King Washington, whose harmonies inspired comparisons to greats such as The Eagles, CSNY and Poco. Third up was Pop songstress Celeste Stoney, who brought the house down with her 10 piece band and troupe of swing dancers.

Following three such amazing and diverse acts is no easy feat, but the final act, special guest Universal Republic recording artist The Weeknd, blew everyone away with his surprise appearance and incredible stage presence. His set included his Billboard Top 10 Hit “Earned It” and his current single “Can’t Feel my Face.”

It was definitely a not-to-be-missed event, ending with many LA Chapter members already looking forward to next year’s 3rd annual LA GRAMMY Showcase!
