On July 19 the Recording Academy's Senior Vice President, Awards Bill Freimuth dispensed invaluable information on the GRAMMY Awards process to over 100 LAC members.

Hosted here at the Recording Academy headquarters in Santa Monica, Bill gave a dynamic presentation walking attendees through the full year-long GRAMMY Awards process, starting with the over 22,000 entries submitted for consideration. Additional details included: important upcoming dates and deadlines; an explanation of eligibility for submitted recordings; how to submit product for GRAMMY consideration; a step-by-step narrative of what each submission goes through once it has been submitted into the Awards process and what's new for the upcoming 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards on January 28, 2018, including the latest innovation: online balloting.

The highly educational evening ended with an audience Q&A session, which gave everyone in attendance the chance to voice any unique and/or intricate questions or concerns that they may have had, while dispelling many myths about the Awards process and allowing for greater transparency between The Academy and LAC members.
