The Recording Academy® Memphis Chapter, Rock 103 and Memphis Made hosted a private screening of JACO, a documentary film, on Monday, October 5, 2015. The film producer’s Robert Trujillo (Metallica) was on hand for a Q&A session about his experience working on the documentary. Memphis soul legends James Alexander (The Bar-Kays) and Hi Rhythm section member Leroy Hodges (Al Green, Ann Peebles) were among the audience members who got a peek at the final version of the documentary.

“For a couple of years now, our friend’s from the Memphis Recording Academy have been patiently waiting for JACO, our wonderful film,” said Trujillo. “With a passion driven filmmaking journey like this, it’s amazing, and an honor to have this kind of support and interest from such an important historic and musically rich city. We look forward to sharing Jaco's magic on the big screen in Memphis, and I’m certain everyone will feel the love and inspiration that we’ve had in making this film. Thank you Memphis!”
