On June 2 nine-time GRAMMY winner Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys and the Arcs) will release his first solo album in eight years, Waiting On A Song

His follow-up to 2009's Keep It Hid, the album is a love letter to Nashville. As such, he recruited some of the city's most respected players to write and record on it, including John Prine, Duane Eddy, Jerry Douglas, and Pat McLaughlin, along with Bobby Wood and Gene Chrisman of the Memphis Boys. The first single,"Shine on Me" and the song "King of a One Horse Town," were recently premiered by NPR Music and Pitchfork, respectively. Waiting On A Song is the debut release, and marks the launch of Easy Eye Sound, Auerbach's new record label that will feature soon-to-be-announced releases from other artists and is distributed by Auerbach's longtime label Nonesuch Records. The new label is built equally around Auerbach's Easy Eye Studio in Nashville, where The Black Keys recorded their last two albums, as well as the collection of famous session musicians who have come to call the studio home.

"Sometimes I feel I created my own Field of Dreams," says Auerbach. "I built the studio because I knew something was going to happen. I built it to accommodate live musicians playing, and then all of a sudden the best musicians in Nashville show up, and it's happening." The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to welcome Dan Auerbach to the Clive Davis Theater for an intimate conversation on his incredible career and forthcoming new album, moderated by GRAMMY Museum Executive Director Scott Goldman. Following the conversation, Auerbach will be joined by Pat McLaughlin for a stripped-down performance.

The GRAMMY Museum will Livestream The Drop: With Dan Auerbach on June 13 via Facebook Live - Don't miss out!
