On Feb. 24, over 40 P&E Wing members attended the third installment of the Nashville Chapter’s In The Mix: Listening Session held at Southern Ground Nashville.  The beautifully remodeled studio houses a superbly aesthetic tracking room wrapped in cedar with flooring made out of wood from Taylor Guitars.  Chapter President, Jeff Balding welcomed the attendees and took a few moments to recognize the Nashville Chapter’s 50th Anniversary this year by listing songs and albums that charted 50 years prior (February 1964).

P&E Wing Committee Co-Chair Shannon Sanders welcomed the crowd saying, “This evening is casual. There are no set rules.”  Sanders went on to candidly state that playing a song for your peers sometimes is the most challenging, saying, “we are all listening without judgment.”  A diverse group of six producers and engineers played songs ranging from pop to bluegrass and R&B to folk followed by Q&A.  Nashville Chapter P&E Wing members that shared a song included James Waddell, Joe Palmaccio/Jamie Tate, Gary Paczosa, Leslie Richter, Nathan Chapman and Shannon Sanders/Greg Fuqua.
