Blacc, whose hits include "I Need A Dollar," "Wake Me Up" (with Avicii) and "The Man," received his first career GRAMMY nomination for 2014 for Best Traditional R&B Album for Lift Your Spirit. More recently, Blacc teamed with GRAMMY winner Zedd to record the smash single "Candyman."

Current nominees KING — comprising twin sisters Paris and Amber Strother and Anita Bias — were mentored by Prince, who discovered the trio via YouTube. They received their first career nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album for their debut album, We Are King. The album, which features "The Greatest," a tribute to the late Muhammad Ali, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart.
