Tuesday, March 25, In The Mix: Colorado at Punch Bowl Social, Denver
Last night we had a great turn out for the Mixer at Punch Bowl Social. Attendance was split between current Recording Academy members and new prospective members. The Punch Bowl was a great venue and attendees enjoyed making new and old connections. SF Chapter Vice President Michael Starita addressed the group with information about The Academy and current initiatives, and spoke about the importance of Board elections just around the corner, and introduced our CO-based candidates to the group. Following the mixer the majority of the crowd headed over to 3 Kings for the Red Bull show with The Epilogues and Joy Formidable.

Attendees included members of the Music Task Force, Margaret Hunt of Colorado Creative Industries, Virgil Dickerson of Illegal Pete’s, Steve Law, David Ratner, and Storm Goor, among many others.

Wednesday, March 26, P&E Listening Event at eTown Hall, Boulder
The Recording Academy® San Francisco Chapter hosted a P&E Wing Listening Session at eTown Hall in Boulder on March 26. The event kicked off with a special tour of the $7 million facility by CEO and eTown Founder, Nick Forster. Facilitated by SF Chapter Vice President Michael Staritaand Airshow Mastering Founder and Chief Engineer David Glasser, 16 P&E Wing members provided tracks for playback, followed with discussion/Q&A on creative techniques and execution. Designed to spark growth and creativity by learning from each other about the sounds we hear, the Listening Session program has also turned out to be an opportunity to introduce new music, particularly local music projects. Attendees included Florida Chapter  member Vincent DiPasque, as well as San Francisco Chapter membersJoe Michaels, Steve Avedis, Angie Mickle, and Ben Makinen.  We also welcomed new members Stephanie Bettman, Robin Rothschild and Anna Frick. The evening was another success in great new music, networking and building a strong P&E community in Colorado.
