Members Gather to Celebrate the Season

On December 14 the Texas Chapter hosted its annual Texas Rocks On Membership Celebration at the Gibson Showroom in Austin. 

Members and their guests gathered together for a night of networking and celebrations, toasting to the successes of 2017 and looking ahead to the new year. Following a red carpet entrance, members enjoyed complimentary food by BOCA and a host bar, as well as live music performed by Afro-Latin roots band Galeano, led by GRAMMY winner Jose Galeano (Grupo Fantasma) and indie R&B artist who just finished a tour with GRAMMY winner Gary Clark Jr., Jackie Venson. 

The Chapter recognized 18th Latin GRAMMY winner s and nominees and 60th GRAMMY nominees with a toast. In attendance included Latin GRAMMY winner Juan Trevino and 60th GRAMMY nominees Jack Ingram, both recognized with a yellow rose among their congratulatory peers. Another special addition to the evening was a special certificate presented to multi GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY winner from San Antonio, Texas--Gilbert Velasquez-- by the Texas Governor’s Office in recognition of his contributions to the Texas music industry and culture.
